Antawn Jamison Biography

Antawn Jamison was a 17 year NBA veteran with the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Clippers. Jamison had a decorated career, making two All-Star teams and winning the 6th Man of the Year award in 2004. He averaged 18.5 points per game. Jamison made seven trips to the playoffs. The Toronto Raptors originally selected him as the fourth overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft, but he was traded on draft night to the Warriors. As a North Carolina Tar Heel, Jamison was even more highly regarded. He was a two-time All-American, the 1998 ACC Player of the Year, and has his number retired at UNC. Jamison has several charitable pursuits, including his “A Better Tomorrow” initiative that provides hope to children during the holiday season. He is now a studio analyst for Lakers games on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
