Aron Johannsson Biography

Aron Johannsson is best known as a member of the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team. Johannsson actually started his international career playing for Iceland, but the Mobile, Alabama product joined Team USA in 2013. He was on the 23 man roster for the 2014 World Cup and made his debut in the U.S. opener against Ghana. Johannsson has had a lengthy club career playing for teams in Iceland, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The striker currently has 29 goals in 56 appearances for AZ Alkmaar in Netherland’s Eredivisie. After being born in Mobile, Johannsson spent most of his upbringing in Iceland, but did graduate from the Pendleton School at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
