Bart Scott Biography

Bart Scott is a talented and outspoken former NFL linebacker with the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets.  Scott was a Pro Bowl and All-Pro pick in 2006, recording a career-high 135 tackles with 9.5 sacks.  He worked his way up after going undrafted in 2002 and carved out an 11-year career.  Scott spent his first three NFL seasons primarily as an ace special teams player and understudy to Ray Lewis.  In his first two seasons with the Jets, the team went to the AFC Championship twice. His 2011 rant to ESPN’s Sao Paolantonio following New York’s AFC Divisional Playoff win over the New England Patriots went viral and became one of his most memorable moments as a pro. Scott played collegiately at Southern Illinois and is in the school’s Hall of Fame.  The Detroit, Michigan native attended Southeastern High School and he still gives back to the school as well as speaking to the team on an annual basis.  Scott currently works as an analyst with CBS Sports and The NFL Today.
