Brenna Huckaby Biography

Brenna Huckaby is one of the top para snowboarders in the world. Huckaby made her Paralympic debut in 2018 and won gold in the snowboard cross and banked slalom. She followed that up with another gold in banked slalom and a bronze in snowboard cross in 2022. Huckaby is also a four-time medalist at the World Championships. She made history in a different way as well, becoming the first Paralympian to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. 

Huckaby did not grow up snowboarding but rather was a dedicated gymnast. A 2010 diagnosis of osteosarcoma forced the amputation of her right leg and set her searching for new athletic endeavors. Once she was fitted for her first prosthetic, Huckaby decided to take up snowboarding.
