Brita Sigourney Biography

Brita Sigourney is one of the top freestyle skiers in the world. She won a bronze medal for the United States in halfpipe at the 2018 Olympics. Sigourney is also a four-time medalist in superpipe at the Winter X Games. She made her Winter X debut in 2011 and picked up a silver medal. Sigourney previously competed on the Olympic stage in 2014, but finished in sixth place in halfpipe. Sigourney is the first woman to land a 1080 in a halfpipe competition run. In her first year of competition, she won the Junior World Championship and was a silver medalist at the U.S. Championships. She also won the Dew Tour in December 2012. Sigourney grew up in Carmel, California and was competitive in water polo in addition to her skiing background.
