Bruce Boudreau Biography

Bruce Boudreau played 20 professional seasons in the NHL, AHL and WHA from 1976 to 1992.  During his time in the NHL he played 141 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks and also saw time in the World Hockey Association with the Minnesota Fighting Saints.  In the AHL he scored the 15th most goals of all-time and recorded the 11th most assists in league history.  When he retired from professional hockey in 1992 he ranked in the top 25 all-time in scoring at any level.  In 2007 he began his NHL coaching career with the Washington Capitals and has since logged 312 wins in 517 career games with the Capitals and Anaheim Ducks.  During his coaching career he has coached at both the minor league and major league levels with eight different teams and posted a winning record at every level.  Boudreau is widely considered to be one of the top coaches in all of hockey.
