Chris Chandler Biography

Following a college career at the University of Washington where Chris Chandler threw for 4,442 yards (3rd in school history), he was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1988 NFL Draft. Over the first 9 seasons of his NFL career, Chandler played for 5 different teams (starting at least once for all of them) until in 1997 he found a solid spot with the Atlanta Falcons. With the Falcons, Chandler was a 2x Pro-Bowler as well as a key reason the ’98 Falcons went 14-2 and made an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII. Chandler went on to play for 2 more teams following the Falcons, bringing his total to an NFL tying 8 teams and making him the only player to ever start for 8 different teams. In his 17 years in the NFL, Chandler threw for over 28,000 yards and finished with a career 79.1 passer rating.
