Chris Kirk Biography

Chris Kirk is a professional golfer currently playing on the PGA Tour where he has been ranked as high as 16th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Kirk is best known for his win at the 2023 Honda Classic, after an eight-year tournament title drought. During that time, he overcame challenges related to alcoholism and depression. 

Before turning professional, Kirk was a member of the University of Georgia Bulldogs men's golf team where he was on the 2005 NCAA D1 Championship team. Following his Georgia career, Kirk turned professional in 2007 and was a member of the Nationwide Tour from 2008-2010 where he compiled 2 professional wins and finished 2nd on the Nationwide Money list in 2010. Earning his PGA Tour card in 2011, Kirk took advantage quickly by finishing 2nd to Phil Mickelson early in the year and winning his first Tour event in July at the Viking Classic. In 2013 Kirk won his second PGA Tour event which qualified him for a spot in his first Masters. In the 2014 FedEx Cup Playoffs, Kirk won the second-round event at the Deutsche Bank Championship, propelling him into 1st place in the FedEx Cup Standings.
