Chris Kreider Biography

Chris Kreider is a professional hockey player for the New York Rangers of the NHL where he plays at the forward. As an amateur, Kreider attended Boston College where he led the Golden Eagles to 2 NCAA D1 Championships as the team’s leading scorer. He also competed in 2 World Junior Championships for Team USA where he won a gold (2010) and bronze (2011) medal, scoring 10 combined goals which is 3rd all-time for an American in WJC tournaments. Kreider was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and signed with the team in 2012 in time to join them for the Playoffs. Kreider made the most of his first Playoff appearance, scoring 5 goals throughout the playoffs which is the most in NHL history by any player who hadn’t played their first regular season game yet. Kreider has spent the last 2 seasons bouncing between the AHL and NHL where he has scored 62 career points, including 22 in the playoffs.
