Chris Riley Biography

Chris Riley was a professional golfer who attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Riley became the first ever four-year All-American from any collegiate sport. Riley turned his successful collegiate golf career into a spot on the PGA Tour in 1999. Riley had a few promising years in 2002 and 2003 as he broke into the top 30 on the Tour’s money list. Riley made the Ryder Cup for the United States in their 2004 losing effort to Team Europe. Riley managed to win his only PGA Tour event in 2002 as he beat fellow American Jonathan Kaye in a playoff at the Reno-Tahoe Open. His best major finish was a 3rd place finish in the 2002 PGA Championship. Riley stepped away from the game after the 2010 PGA Tour season but returns to compete at a few events every year.
