Christie Rampone Biography

The U.S. Captain, Christie Rampone, is one of the most experienced U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team players in history. She set the record by becoming the first women’s player to compete in four different Olympic Games, from 2000-2012, earning three gold medals in the process. Rampone has also played in four FIFA Women’s World Cups, winning one of them in 1999. She currently plays for Sky Blue FC as a part of the National Women’s Soccer League after multiple leagues had failed to be successful previously. The defender was named captain of the USWNT in 2008 and has maintained her captaincy ever since. As the only mother on the team, Rampone has showed no signs that she is ready to hang up the cleats and continues to be a key role to the defending Olympic gold medalist Women’s National team.
