Claire Donahue Biography

After a three-sport high school career, Claire Donahue went on to swim at Western Kentucky University. At WKU, Donahue was a four year letterwinner, a 2011 Student Athlete of the Year, and still holds five school records. In 2008 she qualified for the Olympic trials for the first and in 2011 she finished 2nd at the NCAA Championships. She also won two gold medals at the Pan American games in the 100-meter butterfly and as a part of the 4x100 meter medley relay. In 2012, Donahue accomplished her dreams by qualifying for the Olympic Games in London. In London she set personal records which brought her all the way to the finals of the 100-meter butterfly event. She continues to compete as a swimmer and is still coached by her former collegiate coach.
