Dan Harrington Biography

Dan Harrington is a professional poker player who is known for his time on the World Series of Poker. Born in Massachusetts, Harrington was a great competitor in any game, becoming a chess and backgammon champion early in his life. He initially broke into professional poker in 1986 at the World Series of Poker, making the final table in his second try in 1987, finishing sixth overall. His biggest victory came in 1995 when he won the Main Event championship. That same year, Harrington won a bracelet at the No Limit Hold’em Event and a title at the European Poker Open. His first final table in the World Series of Poker came in 2005, winning $620,730 in a second place finish. In 18 years as a professional, Harrington has won over $6,000,000 from live tournaments, including two bracelets and five final table appearances.
