David Hearn Biography

David Hearn was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and played his collegiate golf at the University of Wyoming.  While in college he represented his home country of Canada and helped them to a win at the 2001 Four Nations Cup tournament.  After turning pro in 2001 he played on the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour and Asian Tour.  His first two wins as a pro came in 2004 when he captured the Times Colonist Open on the Canadian Tour and the Alberta Classic on the Nationwide Tour with a brilliant 15 under par performance.  During his career he has also been a consistent performer in major tournaments, with much of his success coming in recent years.  In 2013 he finished tied for 21st at the U.S. Open and 47th at the PGA Championship.  He followed that up with a 32nd place performance at the 2014 Open Championship.  Hearn is known for his ball striking and excellent short game in big situations, and continues to perform each time he tees off on golf’s most elite level.
