Diane Crump Biography

Diane Crump is a trailblazer for women in horse racing. Crump was the first woman to ride as a jockey in the Kentucky Derby. She was also the first woman to ride in a pari-mutuel race in 1969 at Hialeah Horse Track Park. She carded over 200 victories in her career, which she retired from in 1999.
