Dickie Moore Biography

Dickie Moore is one of the most decorated hockey players in NHL history, having won the Art Ross Trophy as the leagues top goal scorer twice and being a part of six Stanley Cup Championship teams.  From 1951 to 1963 he starred for the Montreal Canadiens.  After helping them to a Stanley Cup title in 1953 he was a part of their run to five consecutive Stanley Cup championships from 1956 to 1960.  In 1963 he decided to hang up his cleats but laced them up again a year later to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He’d go on to play for the St. Louis Blues before calling it a career.  For his contributions to the game and to the league he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and would later be ranked as one of the top 100 players to ever take the ice.  In 2005 the Montreal Canadiens retired his No. 12 jersey, solidifying his place in the history of their franchise.
