Domantas Sabonis Biography

Domantas Sabonis is a star for the Sacramento Kings. Sabonis blossomed into one of the NBA's best players after being traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2017. He averaged a career-best 14.1 points and 9.3 rebounds during the 2018-19 season and was named Lithuanian Player of the Year. Sabonis made back-to-back All-Star appearances in 2020 and 2021 before being traded to the Kings the following year. 

Sabonis began his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder after he was traded in a draft-night deal with the Orlando Magic, who selected him with the 11th overall pick in 2016. Sabonis played college basketball for two seasons at Gonzaga University. He was named to the All-West Coast Conference team each year. As a sophomore, Sabonis averaged 19.6 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. He also led the Bulldogs to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
