Houston Alexander Biography

Houston Alexander is former mixed martial artist, best known for his time in the UFC. Alexander grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where he was on his high school’s wrestling team, teaching himself how to fight and wrestle. In 2007, Alexander made his MMA debut with the UFC, knocking out Keith Jardine 49 seconds into the first round. This upset victory shot Alexander to fame, and he signed another, longer contract with the UFC shortly after. After a three-year run in the UFC, he finished his career fighting for several different promotions, including Bellator. Alexander retired with a 17-16-1 record.
