Isaiah Thomas Biography

Not many NBA players have as much scoring punch as Isaiah Thomas.  Thomas has been known for his instant offense anywhere he has been. After being traded to the Boston Celtics in the middle of the 2014-15 season, Thomas became one of the league's brightest stars. He won Eastern Conference Player of the Week and led the team in scoring.  Thomas subsequently made the All-Star Team in 2016 and 2017. Since leaving Boston, he has spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Thomas currently plays for the Washington Wizards. Thomas spent the first three seasons of his career with the Sacramento Kings.  His Kings career culminated in 2013-14 when Thomas averaged over 20 points and six assists a game.  In his rookie season, he was a two-time Rookie of the Month and named to the All-Rookie Second Team.  Thomas achieved all of this despite being the final pick of the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft.  At 5’9”, he has always been overlooked.  Thomas had a banner career at Washington and was a two-time first-team All-Pac 10 pick.
