Jacob Green Biography

Jacob Green is a retired American football defensive end. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 years. He played college football for Texas A&M and was an All-American selection in 1979. He was selected in the first round of the 1980 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.

Green played 12 seasons for the Seattle Seahawks, and one season for the San Francisco 49ers. Green recorded 97.5 career sacks for the Seahawks, a team record and at the time of his retirement good for number three on the all-time sacks leaderboard. He was selected for two Pro Bowls and was inducted into the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor in 1995.
