Jacques Villaneuve Biography

Jacques Villeneuve has had success across multiple auto racing circuits. Villeneuve first burst onto the scene as a CART driver, winning the Indianapolis 500 and the series championship in 1995, his second season. The following year, he transitioned to Formula One, winning four Grand Prix and finishing as runner-up for the Drivers Championship, the first rookie to ever do so. In 1997, Villeneuve became the first Canadian winner of the World Drivers Championship. He is a member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and was named an Officer of the National Order of Quebec.
