Jalen Hurts Biography

Jalen Hurts became a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles after they selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Hurts had one of the more unique careers for a signal caller in college football history. He experienced tremendous success at both Alabama and Oklahoma. Hurts was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide to start, going 25-1 and playing in two National Championship games. As a freshman, he threw for 2,780 yards, ran for 954 more and collected a school-record 36 touchdowns. Hurts was the SEC Freshman of the Year and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year. During his sophomore campaign, Hurts threw for over 2,000 yards, rushed for over 800 yards and won the national title. After a junior season where he served as the Tide's backup, he transferred to Oklahoma for his final college season. Hurts brought the same level of success over to the Sooners, leading them to the Big 12 championship and College Football Playoff. He finished second in Heisman Trophy voting after throwing for 3,851 yards and 32 touchdowns while running for 1,298 yards and 20 scores.
