Javon Kinlaw Biography

Javon Kinlaw has overcome amazing obstacles to become an NFL star. He originally immigrated to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago and spent part of his childhood homeless. Kinlaw also spent a year in junior college before going to the University of South Carolina and watching his football career take off. 

Kinlaw was a three-year starter for the Gamecocks and earned All-SEC First Team honors in 2019. That led the San Francisco 49ers to select him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.  

Kinlaw played four seasons for the 49ers before signing with the New York Jets in free agency in 2024.
