Jeff Burton Biography

Jeff Burton is a retired well-known racecar driver, specializing in stock car racing for over two decades. Burton is most famously known for driving number 14 Chevrolet SS in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. His history with the sport started when he was born in South Boston, Virginia in 1967 to father John Burton, whom owned racecars. His first competitive season was in 1989 when he competed for the full season of the Busch Series Rookie of the Year. Burton then competed in his first Winston Cup race in 1993 and achieved a milestone in his career when he received his first prestigious award the following year in 1994 as the Winston Cup Series Rookie of the Year. Competing in many other series, driving many other car numbers, and racking up many more wins, Burton’s most notable career highlights can be recognized as the 1999 Southern 500 Winner an the 1999 and 2001 Coca-Cola 600 Winner. He currently serves as a NASCAR analyst for NBC Sports.
