Joe Burrow Biography

Joe Burrow is the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals after being the number one pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Burrow orchestrated one of the greatest seasons a quarterback has ever had in college football. In 2019, he threw for over 5,600 yards and 60 touchdowns. His passing touchdowns mark set a new FBS record. Burrow also set another national record with a 202.0 career passer rating. That season, he led the LSU Tigers to wins against seven ranked teams on the way to winning the College Football Playoff. Burrow was honored with the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award and Davey O'Brien Award. He was a unanimous All-American, the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year. In the national title game against Clemson, threw for 463 yards and five touchdowns on the way to MVP honors. Burrow started two years overall in Baton Rouge, leading the Tigers to the Fiesta Bowl in his first campaign. The Ohio native began his college career at Ohio State, but served as a backup to both J.T. Barrett and Dwayne Haskins.
