Joe Nemechek Biography

Joe Nemecheck has raced on the NASCAR circuit for over two decades and has won 20 races and posted 168 top ten finishes in over 1,000 starts during his career. He got his start in racing in motocross at age 19 and eventually got behind the wheel in short track racing. After earning USAR Rookie of the Year honors in 1988 he made the jump to NASCAR and made his Busch Series debut in 1989. That year he won the All PRO Series Championship and would go on to win the 1992 NASCAR Busch Series Championship after recording his first win at the 1992 Kroger 200. His early success in NASCAR led him to being named the Busch Series Most Popular Driver in 1992 and 1993. He’s also made 19 appearances on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and finished in the top ten 13 times. Nicknamed “Front Row Joe”, he was often found at the top of the pack during his career and continues to impress fans to this day on the NASCAR National Tour.
