Joe Schad Biography

Joe Schad graduated from St. John’s University and got his start in sports journalism while working at with Long Island Newsday. During that time he also worked as a researcher for ESPN The Magazine. In 1999 he became the beat writer for the Orlando Sentinel and began covering the University of Florida Gators athletic teams. In 2003 he got his start in professional sports as the writer for the Miami Dolphins and served in that role until returning to ESPN in 2005 as a college football reporter. He served as a reporter and co-host on such hit shows as SportsCenter, College GameDay, ESPN First Take, ESPNews, and College Football Live. He has also served as a blog writer for ESPN.com and hosted several radio shows on ESPN Radio. He worked at the Worldwide Leader in Sports until joining the Palm Beach Post in 2016 to cover the Miami Dolphins.
