Joe Stevenson Biography

Joe Stevenson made his MMA debut in 1999 and has since become one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Thus far in his career he has posted a 31-15 overall record with 15 wins by submission. Stevenson got his start in fighting at the age of 13 when he began studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over time he became a master in boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling while earning black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Stevenson joined the UFC in 2005 after a successful career in KOTC and Gladiator Challenge in which he captured the KOTC Lightweight Championship. Since joining the UFC he has won Fight of the Night four times and Submission of the Night twice while also competing for the Lightweight Championship in 2008. In 2011 he made his Featherweight debut in the UFC, and has since signed a contract to compete in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance.
