Jonathan Brookins Biography

Jonathan Brookins has used his background in wrestling and his training as a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to become one of the top mixed martial artists in the world. Competing in the Lightweight, Featherweight, Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions he has compiled a 15-7 pro record since 2006. He began his career on the Combat Fighting Circuit and posted an impressive 11-3 record against many of the best competitors in the world before joining the UFC as a Featherweight in 2011. He’d go on to fight in The Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale and Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale before briefly retiring in 2012. Two years later he’d come out of retirement to fight in the Legacy Fighting Championship in the flyweight division. He’s since joined the Pancrase circuit and captured the Batamweight Championship in his debut in 2014. Brookins fights out of Orlando, Florida and trains at Tristar Gym.
