Josh Koscheck Biography

Josh Koscheck began wrestling as a youngster at the age of five and went on to become the NCAA Division I National Champion in the 174-pound weight class while wrestling at Edinburg University of Pennsylvania in 2001. During his time at Edinburg he earned All-American honors in four consecutive years in the 174- pound weight class after finishing as the national runner-up in 2000, 4th in the nation in 1999 and 3rd in the nation as a senior in 2002. During his national championship year he finished with a sparkling 42-0 record. After earning his degree in criminal justice he served as an assistant wrestling coach at the University of Buffalo before taking an interest in mixed martial arts fighting. In 2004 he began pursuing his MMA career full-time and has since earned a black belt in Guerilla JiuJitsu and posted a pro MMA record of 17-8 while fighting in the UFC.
