Kane Biography

Glenn Jacobs, best known by his ring name, Kane, was one of the dominant figures of one of the best periods in professional wrestling history. Kane started wrestling on independent promotions in 1992. Three years later he joined the WWF, developing his character over time before he became known as the younger half-brother of The Undertaker. Kane had a signature moment early in his career in the heart of "The Attitude Era," beating Stone Cold Steve Austin in his first pay-per-view match to win the WWF Championship. Overall, he was a three-time world champion. Kane also set the record for the number of pay-per-views participated in, which has since been surpassed. His 20 Royal Rumble appearances also became a record. Overall, Kane won 12 world tag team titles, two Intercontinental Championships, and one Money in the Bank match. His victories made him just the third wrestler to ever complete the WWE Grand Slam. Kane was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. Outside of the ring, Jacobs has been active in his local community and is the mayor of Knox County in Tennessee.
