Kirsten Clark Biography

Kirsten Clark, like most athletes, became interested in her sport as a youngster. At age seven she put on a pair of skis and took off down the snowy Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine and never looked back. She’d eventually develop into one of the top alpine skiers in the world. During her 13 year professional career she won 12 individual U.S. titles and reached the World Cup podium eight times. Known and respected for her quiet leadership and the high standards she set for herself while preparing for and during competitions, Clark would eventually become one of the best alpine skiers in United States history after winning five consecutive U.S. downhill titles and capturing a silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. In 2012 she was inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
