Kyle O'Quinn Biography

Kyle O’Quinn is a Queens, New York native who has found success on and off the court in the NBA. O'Quinn currently serves as a backup big man for the Philadelphia 76ers. He also played for the Indiana Pacers and his hometown New York Knicks after starting his career with the Orlando Magic. O'Quinn joined the Magic as a 2nd round pick in 2012 after starring at Norfolk State from 2008 to 2012. During O’Quinn’s days at Norfolk State he earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in consecutive years in 2011 and 2012 and won the MEAC Player of the Year Award in 2012. In 2012 he was also presented the Lou Henson Award, which is given to the top mid-major player in the country. After averaging a double-double during his final two collegiate seasons he joined the Orlando Magic and has since been a key contributor to the team down low, averaging 5.2 points and 4.5 rebounds during his first two seasons in the league. O’Quinn is a team player and does what it takes to help his team win. He is a leader both on and off the floor for the Magic franchise.
