Kyle Turley Biography

Kyle Turley is a former college and professional football player who played as an offensive tackle for the National Football League for ten seasons. Turley spent his college years at San Diego State University where he played football from 1994- 1997. As a senior, he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American. The New Orleans Saints drafted Turley as the seventh overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Turley is most widely know for the Saints vs. Jets game in November 2001 where he and Damien Robinson had a fall out that caused Turley to be ejected from the game. On March 21, 2003 Turley was traded to the St. Louis Rams where he signed a 5- year $26.5 million contract. During 2004, Turley was listed on injury reserve after he reinjured his back that he had surgery on during the offseason. The Rams released Turley in 2005 and he spent the entire season out of football. In June 2006, Turley was signed with the Kansas City Chiefs for two years. Turley missed most of the season due to recurring injuries. After retiring from football, Turley set his sights on a music career.
