LeGarrette Blount Biography

LeGarrette Blount is the pride of Madison, Florida, and starred on the gridiron at Taylor County High School in Perry before heading to East Mississippi Community College. During his time at East Mississippi he accumulated 2,292 rushing yards on 367 carries with 18 touchdowns, earning him All-American honors and making him the No. 1 junior college prospect in the country. After his sophomore season he signed with the University of Oregon and rushed for 1,002 yards and a record 17 touchdowns as a junior. After helping the Ducks to a Rose Bowl win in 2010 he signed with the Tennessee Titans as an amateur free agent and began a successful professional career in the NFL. After spending one season it the Titans he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played two seasons from 2010 to 2012. He’s since seen time with the New England Patriots in 2013 and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014 before resigning with the Patriots later that season. Thus far in his young NFL career he has rushed for 3,258 yards and 25 touchdowns.
