LeRoy Butler Biography

LeRoy Butler played his entire NFL career with the Green Bay Packers from 1990 to 2001 after a stellar career at Florida State University. He played his high school football at Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and signed with FSU after a stellar senior year. While playing for the Seminoles he was a three-year starter and collected 194 tackles and nine career interceptions. Butler was selected in the second round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers and would go on to become one of the best players in their franchise history. During his 11-year NFL career he earned four Pro Bowl selections and four NFL All-Pro honors. In 1997 he helped his team to a win in Super Bowl XXXI, solidifying his legacy with the team for all-time. Butler was named to the NFL 1990’s All-Decade Team and later inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
