Lindsey Berg Biography

Lindsey Berg was born in sunny Honolulu, Hawaii and played her college volleyball at the University of Minnesota. While at Minnesota she earned All-Big Ten honors in 1999, 2000 and 2001 and set the school record for most career assists. After the 2001 season she headed to the United States Professional Volleyball league and became the leagues most Outstanding Server and Setter while playing for the Minnesota Chill in 2002. She went on to play in the Italian Series A League from 2005 to 2008. Berg joined the USA National Team in 2003 and led the team in assists during her first year. From 2003 to 2005 she was named the best setter at the Pan American Game’s three consecutive times, and led Team USA to a Pan American Cup championship in 2003. From 2005 to 2006 she helped the red, white and blue to wins at the 2005 NORCEC Continental Championship, 2006 World Grand Prix and 2007 FIVB World Cup. In 2008 she was named co-captain of the Olympic team that earned silver at the Beijing Olympic games. She returned to Olympic action in 2012 with another silver medal performance.
