Liz Carmouche Biography

Liz Carmouche is a mixed martial artist and competes in the Bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.  Carmouche’s intensity comes from her background in the United States Marine Corps, where she served with distinction in the Middle East during three tours of duty from 2004 to 2009.  In 2010 she got her start in professional MMA and won her first three fights by either knockout or submission.  In August 2010 she made her StrikeForce debut and would go on to compete in the Invicta Fighting Championships in 2012 before landing in the UFC in 2013.  Thus far in her career she has posted a 9-5 record with six wins by knockout.  She currently fights out of San Diego, California as a member of Team Hurricane Awesome, and sports a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a yellow belt in Kenpo.  She also uses knowledge of USMC Combat Fighting and the mental toughness she gained in war to her advantage in the octagon.
