Marvin Harrison Biography

Marvin Harrison played his entire NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts from 1996 to 2008. Harrison played his college football as a wide receiver at Syracuse University and set a school record with 2,718 career receiving yards. He also ranks second all-time in career receiving touchdowns with 20. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in retailing he set his sights on a successful pro career. The Colts selected Harrison with the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Over the next 13 seasons he earned eight Pro Bowl selections, eight NFL All-Pro nods, led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards twice, and became the Colts franchise record holder in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He also earned the NFL Alumni Wide Receiver of the Year in 2002 and led the Colts to a Super Bowl title in 2007. Harrison retired in 2008 with 1,102 receptions, 14,580 receiving yards and 128 career touchdowns. He is a member of the 10,000 Receiving Yards Club, was named to the NFL 2000’s All-Decade Team and was inducted into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor in 2011.
