Matt Hardy Biography
Matt Hardy is a professional wrestler who is best known for his tenure at World Wrestling Entertainment and Ring of Honor. As a child, Hardy played baseball and pursued it through his junior year of high school. He also played a linebacker or defensive end on his high school’s football team. Hardy attended the University of North Carolina, but after a year, he dropped out due to his father’s poor health. Hardy then attended Sandhills Community College. Early in his career, Hardy, his brother Jeff and their friends created their own wrestling promotion, OMEGA Wrestling where Hardy competed under the name High Voltage. In May 1994, Hardy won the New England Wrestling Alliance Championship. Hardy’s first WWE match was against Nikolai Volkoff on May 23, 1994 where he lost by submission. From 1999-2001, Hardy spent his time in the WWE, and then he went on to a singles career. Hardy returned to the WWE in 2005. He is currently signed with the TNA.
