Michael Floyd Biography

Michael Floyd is a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals who had his breakout during the 2013 season.  Floyd caught 65 passes for 1,041 yards and five touchdowns while starting all 16 games opposite Larry Fitzgerald.  During the final game of his rookie season, his play would foreshadow the 2013 success. Floyd caught eight passes for 166 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers.  The Cardinals originally selected him out of Notre Dame with the 13th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.  In his junior and senior seasons, Floyd went over 1,000 yards.  He holds Notre Dame career receiving records for catches, yards, and touchdowns.  Never in any of Floyd’s four years did he have less than 700 yards or seven touchdowns.  He was an elite five star recruit out of Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Floyd was a two-time Minnesota Player of the Year and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
