Montez Sweat Biography

Montez Sweat is a defensive end for the Washington Redskins. The Redskins selected him in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Sweat began his college career at Michigan State, playing sparingly before enrolling in junior college. He then landed at Mississippi State, where he had two breakout seasons. Sweat recorded double-digit sacks and double-digit tackles for loss each year. In 2018, he was named a first-team All-SEC and first-team All-American pick. Sweat went on to the 2019 NFL Combine and set a defensive line record by running the 40 yard dash in 4.41 seconds.
