Muhammed Lawal Biography

Muhammed Lawal is a professional wrestler and mixed martial artist. Growing up, Muhammed was a fan of professional wrestling and joined his high school wrestling team where he earned a state title in the Greco-Roman category. He went on to wrestle in college at the University of Central Oklahoma where he became the national champion in 2002. In his final year he transferred to Oklahoma State University where he became a Big 12 Conference champion and a division 1 All-American. He then took up mixed martial arts after he narrowly missed gaining a spot in the 2008 Olympics. He has since gone on to become a Light Heavyweight Champion in Strikeforce, and he now fights with Bellator MMA where he has won the 2013 Summer Series Light Heavyweight Tournament. Over the course of his career he has racked up 14 wins and only 4 losses out of a total of 19 bouts.
