Nathan Adrian Biography

Nathan Adrian is an accomplished competition swimmer. He began his career in swimming at the age of 5 because of the influence of his siblings who were both swimmers at their respective universities. It didn’t take long for Adrian to show just how competitive he could be when he won his first of five individual NCAA Championships at the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. In his career he has racked up an impressive medal record, including five gold medals in the Pan Pacific Championships, and five more gold medals in various World Championship events. A dream was realized when Nathan qualified for his first Olympic Games in 2008. He earned his first medal with a victory in the 4x400 freestyle relay, and four years later he continued his winning ways by capturing two more gold medals and a silver medal, bringing his career medal count to an impressive twenty one.
