Nathan Chen Biography

Nathan Chen has long been one of the top names in figure skating and he cemented his legacy at the 2022 Winter Olympics, winning gold in the men's singles program. Chen also has two Olympic medals in the team competition. He is a six-time U.S. national champion and three-time World Champion. 

Chen captured his first national title at the age of 17, becoming the youngest winner since 1966. He also won a bronze medal at the 2018 Olympics in team figure skating. He became the first skater to land six quadruple jumps successfully in an Olympic competition. Chen recorded the feat in the free skate and the six quads gave him the highest free skate score in Olympic history. Some of the other major wins in Chen's career include the 2017-18 Grand Prix Final and the 2017 Four Continents championship. He was a silver medalist at the 2016-17 Grand Prix Final. As a junior, Chen was a bronze medalist at Worlds in 2014 and was a two-time medalist at the Junior Grand Prix Final.
