Parks Bonifay Biography

Parks Bonifay is a professional wakeboarder, competing in various events around the world, including the X-Games. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Bonifay rose to national prominence after winning the X-Games in 1995 at just 14 years old. Since turning professional in 1994, Bonifay has won many wakeboarding events, including two Pro Wakeboard Tour titles in 1999 and 2001. Bonifay is also a recurring star on the MTV extreme sports show “Nitro Circus” hosted by Travis Pastrana. His success and his stardom has led to sponsorships from companies such as Ronix, Fox, Red Bull, and other notorious extreme sport sponsors. In 1999, Bonifay became the first person to ever land a 1080 on a wakeboard, doing so at a photo shoot for Bill Doster. Bonifay currently resides in Polk County, Florida, and still competes in professional wakeboarding tournaments to this day.
