Phil Hellmuth Jr Biography

Phil Hellmuth Jr. is a Poker Hall of Famer and winner of a record 13 World Series of Poker bracelets.  Hellmuth has won the 1989 WSOP Main Event and the 2012 WSOP Europe Main Event.  With his 1989 win, he was the youngest to ever capture the Main Event.  No player has more WSOP cashes or final tables.  All-time, Hellmuth has almost $20 million in earnings from tournaments and is top ten on the career money list.  His $12 million in WSOP winnings places him second.  Hellmuth has capitalized on his fame with books, videos, and appearances on a variety of TV shows.  His book, Play Poker Like the Pro’s, was a New York Times’ bestseller.  Hellmuth’s Poker Brat Clothing website sells his personal clothing line in addition to those materials.  The charity tournaments he has hosted have raised over $20 million.  His family currently gives to Heifer International, a foundation that helps developing villages throughout the world.  The Madison, Wisconsin native currently lives in Palo Alto, California.
