Phillip Soven Biography

Phil Soven began wakeboarding at the age of 11 and quickly earned a reputation as one of the best riders in the business. As one of the most technically sound wakeboarders in the world, his base of skills allows him to expand his range and land huge tricks off the wake. With the ability to shift his lanes and balance his weight throughout his ride, he has dominated in competition since turning pro. Thus far in his career he has won two World Championships, the King of Wake Championship and the Pro Tour title. In 2007 he made history by becoming the first wakeboarder ever to win the Pro Tour title, the King of Wake crown and the WWA World Wakeboarding Association World Series in the same year. Known as the “Iceman” for his ability to compete at the most elite level without fear of failure, Soven is highly respected in the sport and has earned his respect by representing himself with honor both in and out of the water.
