In 1990, Retief Goosen, a native of South Africa, decided to turn professional in golf. He made his name in Europe early in his career until 2001 when he made his name in America with a win in a major tournament, the U.S Open, a title he has now won twice. Over the course of his career Goosen has traveled the world while playing golf. He has played in the states on the PGA Tour where he has captured 7 victories, but he has also played on the European Tour with 14 victories, winning awards like the tour’s Player of the Year Award, as well as played on the Asian Tour with 4 wins, and the Sunshine Tour with another 9 titles. Goosen has been so successful that for a span of time between 2001 and 2007 he was in the top ten in the Official World Golf Ranking for over 250 consecutive weeks.
