Robert Wrenn Biography

Robert Wrenn is a former professional golfer, and currently a sportscaster as well as a golf course design consultant. Wrenn attended Wake Forest University where he became an All-ACC member of the golf team, something he accomplished in all four years of his college career. Wrenn first turned pro in 1981 and played in a total of 308 PGA Tour events in his professional career. His highest accomplishment while on the PGA Tour would be in 1987 when Robert managed to win the Buick Open, where Robert set the record that still stands today, for strokes under par with 26. Wrenn recorded 15 top-10 finishes in his PGA Tour career. When his career was coming to an end Robert competed in some events on the Nationwide Tour, where in 1995 he placed T-2 at the NIKE South Carolina Classic. Once Robert retired from professional golf he became a golf broadcaster, in many different forums including broadcasting for ESPN.
